Growing Finance company is looking for a Hardship Loans Officer to handle and convert queries regarding formal and informal debt management options.
They are looking for an enthusiastic, efficient, and results-driven person to lead by example.
Key responsibilities in the role include:
- Sales enquiries for formal and informal debt management options
- Liaising with bankruptcy trustees
- Preparing informal debt agreements
- Making and receiving phone calls for new enquiries and existing clients
- Assessing financial information including bank statements and credit reports to thoroughly understand a client’s situation
- Preparation of debt agreement proposals to send to creditors
- Negotiating with credit providers to reach agreements that are sustainable for our clients
- Calling clients and requesting payments when they are in arrears
- Assisting in administration and working closely with other departments for continuous improvement
Skills & Experience:
- Experience in completing financial applications or assessments
- Compliance understanding
- Experience in sales of a financial product or service
- Ideally experience within the insolvency industry
- A working knowledge of key regulatory and compliance standards in relation to credit provision and debt collection (preferred but not essential)
- Excellent work ethic
- Be a team player as well as an ability to work autonomously
- Be target driven and strive towards reaching and exceeding KPI’s
- Be empathetic while negotiating a positive outcome for the customer
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
